The Portwenn Effect..
Doc Martin is a British television comedy drama starring Martin Clunes, set in the ficticious village of Portwenn. It was created by Dominic Minghella, and is filmed on location in and around the actual fishing village of Port Isaac.
Why do I love Doc Martin so much?... well, I suppose the main reason is Martin Clunes. Although I only became aware of this series last summer (and then quickly bought the full DVD set and crammed them all in over the space of a few days!) it didn't take long for me to realise that I had (a maybe perverted!) attraction to the incredibly gruff, monosyllabic and rude GP!
Would I want him to be my GP ? The jury is still out on that one!

As well as that there is the wonderfully talented ensemble cast.
